Food & Retail

There is a growing interest in connecting food production and environmental management.

Savouring the distinctive local foods of the Peak District area helps to care for its wonderful landscape formed by centuries of food production. 

The Peak District Foods website has information about local food producers and food businesses. 

A partnership of organisations, including Derbyshire County Council and the district and borough councils works to support and develop the local retail economy through a Shop Smart - Shop Local campaign.
